Medals at World Championships

2 years ahead of the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, some of the teams relying on Robline equipment demonstrated that they are already right on track.

In the field of 1,400 sailors from 90 nations, the Robline-equipped teams excelled primarily in the 49er FX and Nacra 17 classes.

Austrians Tanja Frank and Lorena Abicht already have many strong results to their names. Yet, the runner-up title at the recent world championships marks the highlight of their careers so far.

Joining forces only a few months ago, the British team featuring helmswoman Sophie Weguelin and bowwoman Sophie Ainsworth surprisingly claimed bronze. This shows quite clearly that ambition, continuity, and strategy will lead to success.

In the Nacra 17, Santiago Lange and Cecilia Carranza Saroli, long-standing Robline users and Olympic champions in Rio 2016, also took home bronze.

In the tricky conditions at Aarhus, our other teams looking to qualify for the 2020 Olympics were not able to fully capitalize on their potential. Thus, the road to Tokyo will continue to be a close battle until the very end.

We keep our fingers crossed for all sailors of our Robline family!
