OFFSHORESEGLERINNEN

A female oriented offshore team collaborates with Robline

The concept:

Offshoreseglerinnen fills a crucial gap in German sailing, or actually sailing in general. They educate young, motivated women in sailing and strengthen the presence of women in the (German) offshore scene. Offshoreseglerinnen combines young talent with further education, empowerment, visibility but most of all performance!

The vision:

  • sustainably increase the presence of women in offshore sailing
  • create a strong network for women in sailing
  • increase the competence and experience of women
  • strengthen the self-confidence of female sailors
  • create female role models
  • low entry barriers and targeted support
  • make sailing more emancipated

In summary:

  • More visibility for women in sailing
  • Promote young talent
  • Promote female sailors
  • Sustainable education
  • Sporting performance at German and international regattas

The boat:

An X-332 named "Rubix".

X-332s were built in the early 2000s and are one of the most successful and popular X-yacht series. With a length of about 10 m, the Danish cruiser racer offers space for up to eight sailors and convinces with its performance both inshore and offshore. The popularity and success of the Racer, has led to a high number of boats in the ORC field. The direct comparison with the other teams provides for the special sporty ambition.

The goal: ORC World Championship

2023 will be dominated by the ORC World Championship, which after many years, returns to the team's home waters of Kiel. Naturally, the team’s focus will be on the preparation for the world championship.
